Developing a good skincare routine

Hey girls!

Let’s talk SKINCARE! Growing up, for us girls our skin can cause a lot of issues. We shouldn’t have to be self conscious because of a pimple that pops up the weekend of a party, or feel like we have to wear a thick layer of makeup to cover anything up. This is why skincare is so important. Firstly, as you are reading this I want you to think about what skin type you have, is it dry, oily, acne prone, sensitive, somewhere in the middle? Knowing your skin and what it needs is the number one thing you must know when it comes to skincare.

Once you know what your skin needs, do some research on some products to try. Over the past couple of years I have tried many brands for skincare. I personally have oily skin, which I know for me, along with other girls with oily skin can often be frustrating and difficult to manage. It might take a while for you to find a product that really works for you, so along the way you are bound to try some that your skin won’t agree with. But make sure you give things a good go before you decide if it’s the one. Skincare takes a couple of weeks to really prove whether or not in the long term it will improve your skin, so give it a chance, but if you react badly to it obviously stop, give your skin a break and try something new. There are oodles of products out there these days, for all skin types. You don’t need to go out and buy the best of the best expensive products to have success, you just need to know what works and stick with it. Being consistent is so important, because if you are on and off and not taking good care of your skin every day, you simply won’t get results.

I hope this helps girls!
